Preparing for birth, whether you are a first time expectant mum or expecting your fourth baby, can be stressful, worrying and an overwhelming task. There is a lot of information available online and it can be difficult to know where to begin. Our expert midwife can take the stress away from it all and help you choose what is best for you.

We will provide you with the opportunity of a safe and unbiased place and time to discuss all of the options that are available to you, so that you feel ready, comfortable and confident regarding birth including how to make informed decisions if things change during labour. During the consultation our midwife will cover topics such as birthing choices, pain relief, pain management techniques, preparing for labour and how to spot those signs of labour beginning. We can also discuss feeding choices, colostrum harvesting and what to expect immediately after birth including Vitamin K injections and Oxytocin injections.

With our personalised birth plan support, you will have a clear image of your positive birth, help to feel in control and accountable and are aware of all of the options for movement, equipment use, and alternative methods for labouring. You are welcome to bring your birthing partner(s) along to the consultation to ensure that your support network is also sure of your decisions and choices and can help be your advocate when your little one chooses to arrive.

We will arm you with the tools and confidence to have the labour and birth that you want to.
