Midwife mother & baby visit
There is so much focus on preparing you for the birth of your baby, but what happens once your home with your new baby?
Unfortunately, the NHS community midwives are stretched beyond capacity. You might have only one home visit and the next visit will be in a clinic, with most health visitors now offering a telephone call.
What happens to all those questions you need to ask, the reassurance you need to reinforce that you’re doing the best job as new parents, those thoughts - is this normal newborn behaviour?
The alternative midwife mother and baby visit is here for all this! Personalised postnatal care tailored to you. I will cover postnatal care of you and baby - monitoring the health and development of your baby, and your physical and emotional recovery post-birth, tips and tricks for life with a newborn.
I am able to spend time as needed at this visit to talk through any birth de-briefing that maybe needed as a specialist in this field. Offering all the guidance you may need on infant care, breastfeeding support, and emotional support as you transition into parenthood.
This is approx 1.5-2hr midwifery visit in your own home for you and your birth partner.
